Marbleized Popsicles: strawberries, mangos, and peaches

Marbleized Popsicles are so fun and so easy to make. They easily transform a normal looking popsicle into a really cool and fun looking one. Making these popsicles are also a great way to get the kids involved. My son helped me make them (minus using the knife part to help marbleize them).

Also, these popsicles are made with fruit. I have two-versions provided below. One made with bananas which helps provide some natural sweetness and the other recipe is made with pure maple syrup. Both taste delicious and make for a healthy and refreshing snack that is great for the entire family to enjoy.

List of Ingredients:

1st flavor combination: fresh strawberries, lemon juice, and pure maple syrup

2nd flavor combination: frozen mango, frozen peaches, lime juice, and pure maple syrup

Step-By-Step Instructions:

Thoroughly wash the strawberries and pat them dry. Remove their green tops and dice them into pieces. Measure 1 and 1/2 cups of the diced strawberries and add them to the blender. Also add 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup. Blend until the mixture is smooth and combined, stopping to scrape down the sides when needed. Taste for sweetness, add more maple syrup if desired (also depends on how sweet the strawberries are). Transfer the strawberry mixture to a bowl and set it aside. Rinse and dry the blender.

To the rinsed and dried blender, add 1 cup frozen mango chunks, 1 cup frozen sliced peaches, 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup, and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lime juice. Blend until the mixture is smooth and combined, stopping to scrape down the sides when needed. Taste for sweetness, add more maple syrup if desired (also depends on how sweet the fruits are). Transfer this mixture to a bowl and set it aside.

Get your popsicle molds ready

Note: the amount of each mixture that will be added to the popsicle molds might differ as each popsicle mold’s size is different. Therefore, add more or less of each mixture as needed to help fill the mold. Mine needed about 1 tablespoon for each layer.

Add a tablespoon of the strawberry mixture

Add a tablespoon of the mango mixture

Add a tablespoon of the strawberry mixture

Swirl it with a knife. This will help give it that marbled look.

Top it with a tablespoon of the mango mixture. Make sure to flatten the top part out a little so it’s flat and even.

Cover it with its lid.

Place them in the freezer to freeze overnight. Make sure the popsicle mold is sitting straight (and not titled or at an angle) to make sure the mixture sets correctly.

Remove it from its mold and enjoy. Note: you might need to run the mold under warm water for a few seconds to help the popsicles come out easily.

My original recipe for these marbleized popsicles is sweetened with bananas. I used half of a banana because I didn’t want the flavor of the banana to overpower the recipe. As a result, you may use more or less depending on your preference. Also, keep in mind, the tartness or taste of the fruit matters too. So if the fruit is a bit tart or flavorless, you may add some more banana. Additionally, you may use a fresh or a frozen banana. If you prefer to use a frozen banana, be sure to cut the banana in half and place it in the freezer in advance (at least overnight) to allow it to freeze.
