With only 3-ingredients, this Mango Nice Cream is easy to make and so tasty. It is made with just fruit: mangos, bananas, and pineapples. All 3 ingredients get blended in the food processor resulting into a tasty frozen treat.
I have included 2 recipes below: my original recipe and a much milder tasting nice cream using the same ingredients. If you’re looking for a milder flavor, please refer to the last recipe card.
The nice cream can be enjoyed immediately or you can transfer it a freezer-safe glass food container and allow it to firm up some more in the freezer.
This can be served in a cone or in a bowl.
To help make this nice cream fun for my kids, I provided them with a variety of toppings. I then asked them to create their own ice cream using the provided toppings. They loved that so much!
List of Ingredients:
1 ripe frozen banana (can use frozen or fresh), 1 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks, and 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks.
Optional: can serve the nice cream on its own or with an ice cream cone and some dye-free sprinkles.
Additional topping options include: choice of fruit (shown here are diced strawberries, quartered or halved blueberries, quartered or halved blackberries), dye-free sprinkles, mini semi-sweet chocolate chips. See the recipe card for more options/ideas.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Note: If needed, allow the frozen fruit to sit at room temperature for about 5-10 minutes, for it to blend easily.
Add all of the ingredients to a food processor and blend for about 1-2 minutes (while scraping down the sides-when needed) or until it’s smooth and combined. Serve immediately or
Transfer the nice cream to a glass food storage container that’s freezer safe and let it sit in the freezer for 2 hours or more. This will allow it to firm up even more (the longer it sits the firmer it will become).
Remove it from the freezer a few minutes before serving just to allow it to soften a little bit for easy scooping.
Use an ice cream scoop to serve the nice cream.
