I love to eat berries! Berries are so good for you with all the nutrients they provide. With that said, this smoothie not only tastes good, but is good for you. There is no added sugar since all the sweetness comes from the fruits. It’s the perfect snack for the entire family.
Infants: This may also be served to infants. This recipe does contain yogurt, so you may substitute it with water if needed. Furthermore, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) states that most infants can eat berries after they have been introduced to traditional foods like oatmeal and vegetables. They also recommend checking with a pediatrician before serving if your infant has mild to severe eczema or has food allergies. Best way to check if your infant is allergic to a certain food is to give that food only for 3-5 days straight. That way you will know if that food is causing an allergic reaction.
